Oporto MUG #3: March Madness Event

  • The Oporto MongoDB User Group is participating in the global MongoDB March Madness Event.
    The event is going to take place on Thursday, March 13, 2014, 18h00 @ FEUP (room I-105 building I room minus 105).
    The preliminary agenda for the meetup is the following:
    18:00-18:30: Welcome and get together (Be on time to grab swag from MongoDB and Server Density: mugs, stickers, etc).
    18:30-19:00: "MongoDB storage internals" from Kunal Taneja, Solutions Architect at MongoDB Inc
    19:00-19:30: "MongoDB usage at Server Density" from Pedro Pessoa, Operations Engineer at Server Density
    19:30-20h00: Book raffle, closing and hanging out
    In this session, we are going to distribute swag sent by MongoDB and Server Density to the meetup participants. We also have several books for the winners of the meetup raffle:
    • 1x MongoDB - The Definitive Guide: Powerful and Scalable Data Storage. Kristina Chodorow, and Michael Dirolf. O'Reilly, (2010)
    • 1x MongoDB in Action, Kyle Banker, Manning Publications Company (2011)
    • 17x The Little MongoDB Book, Karl Seguin
    Finally be sure to tweet about the event with the hashtag #MUGMadness and send any pictures to take to [masked]. The best photo wins a Rasberry Pi furnished by MongoDB!
