Apesar de podermos estar ligados a mais do que uma rede em simultâneo, se o envio de informação falha na interface em que foi iniciada a ligação, a comunicação falha. A Apple tenciona resolver esse problema utilizando o Multipath TCP (ou MPTCP - http://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/mptcp/charter/), que já se encontra implementado no iOS 7, mais concretamente na Siri e possivelmente noutros serviços críticos fornecidos pela Apple.
