[Resolvido] Ubuntu e o Wireless num HP

Boas, tenho um HP Pavilion dv5278eu e não consigo por o wireless a bombar  :confused: tou farto de tentar e não consigo.

Ajuda?!

Fiz o tal tutorial e continuo sem wireless, parece que está tudo bem instalado etc... só tem um problema... além de não detectar nenhuma rede com o KWifiManager (esqueci-me de referir que tenho o Kubuntu) na konsola quando faço "sudo ifup wlan0" aparece "ifup: interface wlan0 already configured" e em relação ao "sudo iwlist wlan0 scanning" diz "wlan0    Interface doesn't support scanning : Network is down"  :hmm: estou sem ideias...

Curiosamente reparei depois num pormenor, quando carrego no botão do wireless (quando o ligo) aparece-me o KBlueTooth (pensei para mim wtf?! :thumbsup:)

Começo a pensar que tenho tudo bem mas o wireless desligado e quando tento ligar ligo o BlueTooth lol. Em relação a endereços da placa já vi que está tudo bem... aliás eu fiz o tutorial 1 vez não resultou, formatei o PC instalei novamente o Kubuntu voltei a fazer tudo com pessoal ao lado para ver se não me enganava.

Se alguem puder ajudar...

Ao que parece tenho tudo instalado... só tenho um pequeno problema o KWifiManager não encontra nenhuma rede. Neste momento estou a 2 metros dela, e nada.

Ajuda?!

Ele consegue apanhar uma rede qualquer.

Vê o eth0, ele tem um IP, Broadcast e Mascara de rede (inet addr:192.168.2.5  Bcast:192.168.2.255  Mask:255.255.255.0)

consegues "pingar" a tua rede?

Ó M.offspring.R, então tu não sabes os tipos de interface mais usados? ;)

ethX = Cabo ethernet

wlanX = LAN via wireless

athX = LAN via wireless (chipset Atheros)

Spock, dá uma olhada ao dmesg e vê o que lá está respeitante ao dito cujo.

Jovem djthyrax, já não me lembrava qual era o do wireless  :-[ lool. Em Linux uso sempre cabo ethernet

Sabia que a de cabo era eth kk coisa. daí não ter respondido  ;)

Os nomes das interfaces não têm que ser esses, por exemplo os meus são todos ethx.

O que ele tem que fazer em primeiro lugar é colocar aqui o resultado do comando iwconfig, para ver o que é que se passa especificamente a nível de wifi. O ifconfig ainda não é útil antes de saber se ele consegue utilizar a placa wifi.
