Graphics Designer:

deviantART's Creative team is looking to hire a full-time Graphics Designer who, ideally, can work out of our Hollywood, CA offices. (Telecommuting is also an option, as members of various deviantART teams are spread out all over the world, but local candidates are preferred.)

Responsibilities:

- Brainstorm, plan, and mock-up/design a wide variety of graphic material including (but not limited to) online ads, print ads, flyers, signage, packaging, etc.

- Produce newsletter designs, media kits, materials for trade shows/conventions and PowerPoint presentations

- Report regularly to the Project Manager and provide updates on status of work

- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree in graphic design or related field, and/or minimum three years professional experience (all applicants must be 18 years of age or older)

- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, and other industry-standard computer graphics software

- Strong typographic, color, and layout skills

- Knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus

- Interest in clothing design and knowledge of the printing industry is a major plus

- Strong portfolio that demonstrates solid skills

Personal Characteristics:

- Exceptional verbal and written communicator

- Excellent organizational skills and keen eye for detail

- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

- Must be creative, self-motivated, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines

- Willing to share ideas, yet also be receptive to questions and suggestions

Salary/Benefits:

- Work closely with the members of the IT team to design and implement new features

- Collaborate with designers, members of IT, and other resources to refine the user experience

- Continual refinement of the site using UI design

- Report regularly to the Project Manager and provide updates on status of work

- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree in graphic design or related field, and/or minimum three years professional experience (all applicants must be 18 years of age or older)

- Great visual design and UI skills for layout and knowledge of web usability

- Strong portfolio that demonstrates solid skills
