[Resolvido] 9200SE sem aceleração 3D

Boas,

Tenho uma ATI Radeon 9200SE, e com esta placa sempre tive aceleração 3D em diversas distros. Instalei à pouco tempo o Debian "Lenny" e não estou a conseguir por aceleração 3D nesta placa...

Quando faço "glxinfo" aparece isto:

No xorg.conf, em device tenho isto:

Parece-me que o problema é este... Já pesquisei, mas não consigo encontrar a solução.

Isto devia trabalhar alterando a driver para "ati" (normalmente pondo "ati" funciona em diversas distros...)

Espero que alguém me consiga ajudar...  ;)

poe radeon em vez de ati=)

ou poe fglrx axo k e assim

Também já experimentei alterar para radeon, mas continua o mesmo.

A minha placa não suporta a driver fglrx...

Instala o X.org server 1.3 e elimina por completo o xorg.conf. Embora isso no Debian deva andar para os repositórios super unstable... ;)

A testing não têm pacotes assim tão antigos... (antigos é com a stable)  ;)

Na testing a versão do X.org é 1.3:

Mete "Não" na parte Disable 3D acelaration.

Reinicia o X.

De qualquer forma no meu Xorg tenho (algumas opções optimizam, se tiveres AGP 8x na board mete 8 ):

Para usar o driconf preciso de já ter direct-rendering...

Aparece isto quando faço driconf:

O driconf depois arranca, mas aparece uma janela sem nada em branco, sem nenhumas opções.

Experimentei também adicionar essas linhas no meu xorg, mas continua igual...no direct rendering...

Vê se tens o pacote libgl1-mesa-dri e o libgl1-mesa-glx instalado. Se eu tenho a mesma placa e temos as config iguais é provável que seja alguma coisa a faltar.

FOKA como eu disse acima, se a board suportar AGP 8x, deve meter "8" se só suportar como a minha 4x mete "4".

Mete aqui o log /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Tenho os pacotes libgl1-mesa-dri e  libgl1-mesa-glx instalados...

A minha board só suporta AGP a 4x. (sempre assim, experimentei por 8x, mas continua igual..)

Não sei como é que Debian funciona quanto a isso, em Ubuntu se fazes Ctrl+Alt+Backspace ele renicia o X.org server, em Arch Linux faz mesmo kill.

De qualquer maneira, para corrigir isso definitivamente tens de alterar os teus ficheiros de boot, na minha distribuição o principal é o rc.conf mas depende do sistema de arranque da distribuição.

Reinicia o X (com Ctrl+Alt+backspace) e vê se tens aceleração 3D.

Se tiveres adiciona as linhas (por ordem) a /etc/modules :

O modulo agpgart já arranca com o pc, o problema está na ordem com que arranca...

Fiz, como disseram:

#rmmod agpgart

#rmmod radeon

#modprobe agpgart

#modprobe radeon

Nunca consegui reiniciar o X, no Debian, através do Ctrl+Alt+backspace, aparece sempre este erro. (depois fiz "init 1" e acho que fez reset ao X, mas continua sem direct rendering e com os mesmos erros..)

Tentei pôr no /etc/modules essas duas linhas, depois de um reboot,  continua o mesmo...

grep DRM  /usr/src/linux-headers-`uname -r`/.config

grep AGP  /usr/src/linux-headers-`uname -r`/.config

CR_, já que também tens uma 9200, podes-me dizer o output destas duas linhas? Já li que também pode ser disto, eu tenho tudo com m (modular), talvez tenha que ter alguns com y. Depois experimentava recompilar o kernel para ver se era disto... :cheesygrin:

Quanto a esse problema fazes ctrl+alt+f1 entras com o teu login e fazes: $ps x  depois $ kill [número de processo] para fechar o que está aberto (deve ser algo no gnome ou assim).

Depois de dois dias a pesquisar e a fazer experiências, lá consegui encontrar a solução: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/78684

Pelo que percebi, o problema esteve no EDAC (Error Detection and Correction), não trabalha bem com certos chipsets...

Removi os módulos "i82875p_edac"  e "edac_mc",

Coloquei-os na blacklist para não carregarem no arranque,

#gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

Edicionei estas duas linhas no fim do ficheiro:

blacklist i82875p_edac

blacklist edac_mc

Fiz reboot, e já tinha "direct rendering":

andre@debian:~$ glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"

direct rendering: Yes
